This local event takes place on Sunday, October 18 at SML State Park.

The Shorefire 25K and 10K take runners on a scenic tour linking the Smith Mountain Lake State Park trail system. The park’s stunning lake views are easy to enjoy thanks to well-maintained doubletrack trails, with open stretches of shoreline and a variety of native forest terrain. Flat, fast sections are balanced with several punchy climbs to keep things interesting.

Formerly Hawaii Fluid Art is thrilled to be part of getting the Blue Ridge runners engaged in more cross country races.

Aloha will be creating custom, hand-painted awards for Shorefire age-group winners, with designs inspired by the race and our beautiful Smith Mountain Lake setting.

Located just down the road at the Halesford Center in Moneta, Aloha Art Experiences is all about getting creative, with everything from fluid and glass art to resin projects, parties and other hands-on art experiences.

Aloha is also a favorite in our own family. Our daughter has spent plenty of time there creating art of her own, so we're especially happy to have them bringing some of that creativity to Shorefire. We can’t wait to show you what they've come up with!

What a fun Paint party we had last night

We had a wonderful night, painting, pumpkins, and sunflowers.

Our final party of the month is Thursday, September 17 at 6 PM. We will be painting a beautiful fall scene in the woods.
