Pass it on!

May is here, and that means it's Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness month!
Zebras are the official mascot of EDS because medical professionals are taught to expect horses when they hear hoofbeats, but for us, "Sometimes when you hear hoofbeats, it really is a zebra." Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a full body affecting connective tissue disorder that often goes undiagnosed because of its complexity. Every system in your body is affected by connective tissue, therefore those of us who have the condition have many comorbid conditions. For me, personally, I can say that my EDS brings other conditions like POTS, Sjögren’s, Hashimoto's, MCAS, and Fibromyalgia just to name a few. Do you know anyone diagnosed with EDS?
