🌿 Bottom watering is as easy as it looks!

Here’s a quick guide to help you feel confident giving your plants a drink from the bottom up.

Perfect for:
🪴 Peperomias
🌸 African violets
🍂 Fall mums

1️⃣ Remove the nursery pot from the decorative pot.
2️⃣ Place it in a saucer, bowl, or container with a little water.
3️⃣ Let it soak up what it needs for 15–20 minutes, or until the top of the soil feels slightly moist.
4️⃣ Drain any excess water and return it to its decorative pot.

💡 Why bottom water?

Plants with compact crowns—like peperomias and African violets—can be prone to rot when water sits in the center of the plant. Bottom watering helps keep that crown dry while still hydrating the roots.

Repotting Fiona the Fiddle Leaf Fig 🌿

A 12ft repot can seem daunting at first, however, with my years of plant experience, I promise you’re in green hands!

Thanks to Dr. Jerry and his wife for trusting me with this giant beauty.

With limited new growth and Fiona officially maxing out the ceiling height, this project will happen in two phases. Mainly because Fiona needs to get acclimated to her new container prior to the next phase!

Part 1:
• upgraded from a 12” pot to a 16” pot
• repot + root assessment
• premium soil blend + amendments
• stabilization + placement
• full leaf shining ✨

You can find my plants at Jollifrogs, in Kingston Springs, TN on 385 N. Main St. and at Good Better Best in The Nations at 5202 Centennial Blvd.

I have 2 vendor shows this weekend. Saturday I’m at Mulberry Mill in Dickson from 10-4. Sunday I’m in Germantown at Monday Night Brewing from 12-6p with plenty of ferns and violets for Mother’s Day.
