This weekend felt special.
As Tulsa commemorated the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, I spent Saturday surrounded by something powerful: community.
Thank you to and & Good Company for creating a space that brought together Black-owned businesses, authors, entrepreneurs, and creatives for a day of conversation, connection, and celebration.
As a Tulsa native, these moments always hit differently. Filosophy may be based in Brooklyn now, but the brand was born here. Tulsa is where I first learned to create, where I first learned to sell, and where so much of my story began.
One of my favorite parts of the day was meeting people who traveled from Brooklyn, California, and beyond to be part of this weekend. It was a reminder that the story of Greenwood extends far beyond city limits and that remembering matters.
More than anything, Saturday reminded me how important it is to gather. To support one another. To create space for Black entrepreneurship, Black storytelling, and Black excellence.
Grateful to everyone who stopped by the Filosophy table and to everyone continuing the work of preserving, honoring, and celebrating our community.
Tulsa, you’ll always have my heart. 💚
