Join us for a potent RITUAL TONIGHT (Wed. Sept. 2nd) during which we will work with the cosmic forces of the Fixed Behenian Stars, Arcturus, (The Bear Guardian) and Spica (The Harvest’s Bounty); who, combined, are known as the Protectors and Guides that assist Humanity with transformation, healing and evolution.

Spica, ancient Grain Goddess that sits in the constellation Virgo, lends support and vital life force to inspire the expression and formation of the harvest, our greatest potential, ideas and dreams, both individually and communally.

Arcturus, the Bear Guardian and Wise Herdsman, protects Spica, and humanity, from the corrupt world of totalitarian powers and greed driven entities of empire. Arcturus inspires responsibility, urging sustainable actions to restore harmony and balance to the earth.

As we co-create magick in the sacred space of ritual, we will stand on the cosmic scythe that forms the pathway between Spica and Arcturus. Ancient Allies, that work together to aid humans in safeguarding the harvest, and the Earth as a whole, we will ask for their help in protecting our work and manifesting our intentions for ourselves and the greater good.

Once our magickal work is completed, we will ground and center.

The Monthly Rituals are facilitated by Winifred and Anthony. Participants are invited to actively participate in co-creating deep and sacred work inside a safe, ritual space held within a magickal circle of protection.

August's Ritual: Mystery of the Grain; Celebrating Lughnasadh

August’s RITUAL will celebrate Lammas-tide and our magick will focus on the Mystery of Grain whose ancient wisdom is held within older folk songs like “John Barleycorn” and other traditions.

Lammas (Lughnasadh) is the celebration of the first grain harvests with an important emphasis on community and the power of collective work.

Our August Ritual will celebrate the roots of Lammastide by connecting with the sacred journey of Jack-in-the-Grain through its cycles, which correspond to the different stages of the grain harvest; reaping, threshing and malting. It is at Lammas that the Goddess takes up the sickle and scythe to initiate the sacrifice of the Grain God.

The Grain God surrenders its life force each year, but is reborn in the foods we eat and beverages we drink, therefore living on within the people and animals it sustains through the coming year.

After our RITUAL, we will “break bread” together in a community meal of light refreshments.

Once our magickal work is completed, we will ground and center.

Once the Ritual ends, attendees are welcome to stay for sharing in a light snack and socializing.

Winifred and Anthony both have many, many years of experience and training in mindfully guiding deep magick within community ceremonies. Our Rituals are intentionally kept small in the number of attendees, so we can facilitate a more focused and deeply supportive magickal experience.

August’s Ritual is on Wed. August 5th, 7 -9 pm

TICKET COST $15 This helps cover the cost of the resources it takes to prepare, create and hold sacred space. You can sign up ahead or pay at the door that evening. Please arrive by 7:15 pm.

Each month features a uniquely crafted ritual, centered on a different magickal intention and focus. While not anchored in any one specific Craft Tradition, there still will be a grounding, protective, structure of a Witch’s Circle to safeguard our mutual energies. All expressions of being human and all levels of experience are welcome.

Hey Friends,
AwenTree could use your support right now. I know times are tough for everyone and we are all feeling squeezed, stressed and anxious.

I deeply believe in the community and mission of AwenTree, the collective care in the healing services I provide, the guidance from tarot readings, leading ritual and teaching classes. This is soul-aligned, heart-centered work for me...to support and empower Earth Mystics, Pagans and Witches on their journey.

That said, there is a real cost in the overhead to maintain and keep the physical AwenTree space that allows me to provide these services, locally and in-person.

I will be completely honest here. The recent economic disaster caused by certain external forces is affecting my ability to sustain the physical studio space of AwenTree longterm. Overhead has increased...rent, insurance, utilities, etc and I have tighten the purse strings as tight as they go.

And all this comes after I faced a life-threatening medical situation last year that while I have recovered from, I still face ongoing surveillance and future care to support my survivorship. I have been fairly private about my diagnosis, but taking months off last year and then breaking my leg this spring...it has all taken a toll on AwenTree.

If you are able and feel called to support my work or to share my work with other like-minded folk, I would be very grateful.

Learning about ritual practices from elders in living spiritual traditions is radically different than learning in modern spaces.

No smartphones, no slide decks, no hand outs and not even "old fashioned" note taking with pen and paper in a journal.

You are expected to learn by showing up, paying attention, following instructions, doing the work and acquiring the knowledge through lived experiences.
