A Freeman Eclectic project with a special home.

Last year, I had the opportunity to create this scrolling cross for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove, Minnesota. Today it hangs on the wall of the church library.

The cross was crafted from black walnut, a beautiful hardwood whose rich natural color and grain work especially well with the detailed scrollwork of this design.

Projects like this are one of the reasons I enjoy woodworking—the opportunity to take a piece of natural wood and create something that can become a lasting part of a church, home, or community.

It is especially rewarding to see a piece I made hanging in the place it was created for.

🌲 A Fresh Delivery is Heading to Minnesota's North Shore! ☕🛶

One of the things I enjoy most about owning Freeman Eclectic is creating handcrafted laser engraved gifts that celebrate the places we love most. Every piece is Made in Minnesota and inspired by the beauty, wildlife, and traditions of the North Shore of Lake Superior.

This week I'm making another delivery of my newest collection of laser engraved slate coasters to Mooselaneous in beautiful Two Harbors, Minnesota.

I was having issues with my vehicle this morning and Christian Brothers in Andover was able to fit me in and get the issue fixed right away instead of waiting for a couple of days.

I really appreciated the good service.

The employee and I talked about an upcoming trip that he is taking with his father out to Sturgis. He talked about all of the trips they had done out to the mountains and how important it was to them.

I returned and gave him these coasters for him and his father to share.

I made a large delivery of custom coasters and glass coffee mugs to Mooselaneous in Two Harbors. The weather was a nice 57 degrees which was a welcome change from the 100 degrees when I left home.
