Your gear should move as fast as you do. The STATPACKS G3 Perfusion Backpack carries three ways — pack, sling, or grab handle — with five high-capacity compartments and four strategically placed grab-handles for fast retrieval under pressure. Contamination-resistant materials stand up to the field, and the internal layout is built for one thing: getting to lifesaving equipment fast.

As National CPR & AED Awareness Week comes to a close, the message we hope stays with you is a simple one: preparedness is one of the most generous things a place can offer the people in it. Every AED mounted on a wall, every staff member who knows hands-only CPR, every program kept current with fresh pads and charged batteries — each is a quiet promise that if the worst happens here, someone will be ready. That's what we help organizations build. Whether you need AEDs, replacement pads and batteries, or hands-on CPR training, we're here to make your program genuinely ready — not just compliant. Thank you for spending this week with us. Saving lives is our only business. aedprofessionals.com ·

Sudden cardiac arrest doesn't choose convenient locations. It happens in offices, gyms, schools, warehouses, restaurants, houses of worship, and on factory floors. Which is exactly why an AED belongs wherever people gather. A widely cited best practice: place AEDs so that anyone can retrieve one and return within about three minutes — a round trip short enough to matter. The device should be visible, clearly signed, unobstructed, and maintained with current pads and a charged battery. An AED locked in an office or hidden in a back room can't save anyone. Take a moment this week to look around your space and ask: if someone collapsed right here, how long would it take to reach the nearest AED?

Facility managers: your AED program generates a steady stream of expired consumables. This World Environment Day is a good prompt to build responsible disposal into your maintenance routine — battery recycling, proper pad handling, and end-of-life planning for older units. We can help you set it up.

When seconds decide everything, guesswork is the enemy. AutoTQ automates tourniquet application — push a button and a pneumatic system tightens to consistent pressure. In testing, 92% of first-time users applied it correctly after a single 30-second demo. Step-by-step audio guides the responder, Wi-Fi keeps your readiness documented, and lifetime training is included. Buying an automated external defibrillator (AED) is only half the job. Where you put it determines whether it can actually save a life. Survival from sudden cardiac arrest falls 7–10% for every minute without defibrillation, and most EMS crews cannot arrive inside the critical three-to-five-minute window. Good placement is what lets a bystander grab the device and return before it is too late. Here is how to decide where to place an AED.

There's a persistent myth that AEDs are complicated medical equipment meant only for professionals. The opposite is true. Modern AEDs are engineered for the ordinary person in an extraordinary moment. Open the lid and the device begins talking you through each step in plain language. It tells you where to place the pads. It analyzes the heart rhythm on its own. And it delivers a shock only when one is genuinely needed — never on a heart that doesn't require it. Many models also coach the pace and depth of your compressions. If you can follow spoken instructions, you can operate an AED. That simplicity, by design, is what makes public-access defibrillation work.

You can't make a cardiac arrest worse by trying. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest. An AED won't shock a heart that doesn't need it. The only mistake is hesitation.

Survival from cardiac arrest is a chain: Call 911 → CPR → AED → EMS → Hospital care. The first three links happen before the ambulance arrives — and that's the part we can all be ready for. Strong bystander action can double or triple the chance of survival.

Two states just changed the rules for AED owners.
New York eliminated its long-standing physician oversight requirement and introduced statewide AED registration, new reporting rules, and a mandate that retailers notify buyers of their legal obligations.

Pennsylvania enacted sweeping new requirements for schools — recurring CPR/AED training, a certified responder in every building, cardiac emergency response plans with annual drills, and a statewide AED purchasing program.

If you manage AEDs in NY or PA, or across multiple states, here's what changed and what it means for staying compliant and rescue-ready:
