Some legacies deserve more than remembrance. They deserve to be carried forward.

Today, we're proud to launch Honor a Hero, our September initiative dedicated to honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of the heroes who have shaped our communities.

Whether it's a firefighter, paramedic, police officer, dispatcher, nurse, veteran, or someone who has made a difference in your own life, we invite you to take a moment this month to honor a hero.

Together, we can help ensure their stories are never forgotten.

Pat Moran collapsed on the floor at the Keystone RV plant in Goshen, Indiana. His coworkers started CPR, brought the plant's AED, and stayed with him until help arrived. He recovered. Three things made that possible: the AED was there, people knew where it was, and people were willing to use it. All three take planning, and none of them happen on their own. Ask your team today whether they could answer all three.

If your city, park district or club runs youth sports in California, two dates are now on the calendar. By January 1, 2027, every coach needs CPR and AED certification, and your organization needs a written cardiac emergency response plan that names where your AEDs are. By January 1, 2028, an AED has to be available at every official practice and game. The plan comes first, which makes the equipment conversation a 2026 conversation. Call us and we will help you map it out. 888-541-2337

New research out of Denmark, presented at ESC Congress 2026, found that alerting nearby volunteers by app more than doubled bystander AED use, and thirty-day survival still did not improve. The likely reason is that ambulances were already arriving in about seven minutes. The lesson is not that volunteers do not matter. It is that the first two minutes belong to whoever is already there. Know where your AED is. Know who is trained. Practice it.

Manual ventilation shouldn’t have to rely on guesswork.

EOlife provides real-time feedback on ventilation performance, giving responders better visibility into each breath during critical care.

Better feedback can mean better-informed ventilation when it matters most.

Happy Labor Day.

We spend most of the year talking about workplaces as places that need equipment. Today they are just places where people we care about spend their lives.

Thank you to everyone who works — and to the safety managers, nurses, and facilities crews who make sure everyone gets home. Enjoy the day off if you have got it.

To everyone working this holiday weekend — the nurses, the coaches, the facilities crews, the volunteers opening the doors on Sunday morning — thank you. You are the reason a plan on paper turns into a response in real life.

Have a safe Labor Day weekend, from our family to yours. Family-owned since 2003.

Heading into the long weekend, a quick thought for anyone who runs a building.

The people who know where everything is are off. The people who are working might be new, part-time, or volunteers. And the building might be busier than usual.

Take fifteen minutes today: check that the AED is reachable without a badge, look at the status light, and tell this weekend's crew out loud where it is. Then go enjoy the weekend.
