Gibson's reissues of Style 6 Mastertone banjos were made in limited numbers starting in 1995, and disappeared a dozen years later. This example (made in 1998) is even more rare as it has a 40-hole archtop tone ring.

This is an excellent sounding Mastertone, and the combination of the gold sparkle binding and dramatic Argentine gray sunburst makes it a banjo that really stands out in a crowd of RB-3s and Earl Scruggs models.

The Generation Series is one of the best values in the Bourgeois Guitars lineup, and these guitars deliver the same level of craftsmanship and tone the brand is known for. The torrefied Sitka spruce top gives this guitar a warm, broken-in character that feels more mature than you’d expect from a 2019-made instrument.

If you’ve been interested in getting a Bourgeois but don’t want to spend custom-shop prices, this is an excellent way to get into one of the finest American acoustic builders.

We started doing eBay auctions as a way to clear out the many instruments needing work that have accumulated in our attic over the decades - for example, this Gibson mandolin.

Gibson did make a handful of 12-string mandolins over the years, but this 1913 Style A is not one of them. Someone added the 12-string neck at one point and did a pretty good job of it. This mandolin is in not quite playable condition, but with a bit of work it could be set up to be played again.

Edit: SOLD! 🔥

The Benedetto Bravo is a thin-bodied archtop that delivers the craftsmanship and feel that this brand is known for, at a more approachable price point. Its laminated spruce top and maple back and sides not only make it lightweight and comfortable, but also allow it to handle higher stage volumes without feeding back. This guitar has been very well cared for over the past couple of years, and is in excellent condition.

This early 14-fret Martin 000-28 was a stand-alone order started February 21, 1934 for Tom of the "Tom & Don" duo on Chicago's WLS Barn Dance (Don ordered a matching 12-fret 000-28 Hawaiian version).

But this Martin is impressive even if you ignore all the historical hoopla, as despite obviously seeing lots of use it has survived the last 92 years in remarkably original condition. It has its original tuners, nut, pickguard and bridge, even has the original bridge pins and end pin. It has its original finish throughout with no touch ups or overspray, and the internal bracing is all original including the bridge plate.

Here's a great sounding 1930s Gibson L-7 that looks like it’s lived its life on the bandstand and not under a bed. Yep, there's lots of playing wear, but a recent re-fret means it plays easily and delivers that single-note clarity and chordal oomph these models are known for. This version has “window pane” inlays, which is one of our favorite looks.

Martin pulled out all the stops with this 2014 re-creation of one of their rarest models of the 1920s, the 000-28K (only two are known to exist). The sound of this guitar is impressive, and will make a believer out of those who are not normally swayed by koa-top guitars (this one has the warmth of tone koa soundboards often lack). This example is in excellent and fully original condition.
