Our clothes are breaking up into tiny pieces and flowing out our washing machine drains into public waterways. This will prove to be the biggest pollution problem facing our oceans and poses a danger to creatures at every level of the marine food web. To fight this problem at the consumer level, we need to stop these microscopic pieces of fiber from escaping our washers or sticking to our clothing in the first place. a standard filter can't do it - because if it were small enough, the water would not flow. Coral does exactly what we need - water to flow, and to catch small things from that flowing water. The Cora Ball is a human-scale solution. It is very easy to use - you just drop or throw it into any washing machine and she will do her job collecting these unseen fibers into fuzz balls that are easy to remove.
