I'm going to get real sappy and pathetic with you all real quick - I know I shared on my story the other day that I was stranded in Charleston, WV, and wow. What a place to get stuck at.
West Virginia has the best hills and valleys in the world, and the best people in them. I don't think I can ever repay the kindness shown to me this weekend.
Massively appreciative to everyone who went out of their way to check up on me, give me lifts, and accept all my cases of Iron City as payment (there was nothing else I had to give)
Justin from Reddit picked me up off the side of 79-S, gave me the whole tour and wonderful recommendations to keep busy with.
Almost Heaven mechanic shop - Kel might as well be God to me. Stayed late to make sure my car got dropped off, called me early to break the awful news, and repeatedly made sure I was all right.
Having the opportunity to check out Basecamp was just a dream come true, and if you're not all shopping at Taylor's bookstore and grabbing the most perfect, stretchy, oak-y vanilla ice cream at Ellen's you haven't lived. Live on the Levee watching the sun break through the rain, and Lee St for their annual award ceremony (which had me SOBBING)
I think I left a big piece of my heart behind, but I'm so grateful to have made it home. I'm not sure I can ever repay the love shown to me, but I hope to be back soon 💗💗💗
