When I was a little girl, I loved going to visit my Grandma's house and admiring all of her decorations. Later in life when she taught me how to crochet, I didn't realize how much fun I was going to have re-creating items that reminded me of visiting her. Now as I travel around the country for my job as an archaeologist, I love hunting for materials wherever I can find them. Whether it is a funky

yarn from Ohio, vintage beer cans found in Kentucky, or beautiful crochet thread brought back from New York, each piece is made up of materials that come together from many different places; making each item from Corchet one of a kind!

Today I am crocheting Penguins! The question I get asked the most is “How long does it take you to make that?”

It’s actually harder to answer that than you would think….because the penguin has a lot of different smaller crochet parts that get sewn together at the end, I have a tendency to make more than one at the same time. It seems to go a little faster if I crochet a bunch of the parts all at once and then assemble them together later. Plus I like to carry the yarn with me and get some crocheting in here and there when I can. So my best guess is that each penguin takes me about 6 or so hours from the beginning to end.
