Keva Mahjong Sets & Accessories And Last Call For Classes At Contemporary Concepts!

At KEVA, every piece tells a story-one of craftsmanship, creativity, and intention. Their home collection is where function meets artistry. Each Mahjong set, tea towel, and coaster features original artwork, designed to bring color, character and joy to your space. Contemporary Concepts has everything you need to play mahjong, host a game, and look cute doing it! We have Keva kits, tiles, and double-sided mats, along with matching tea towels and coasters. Patterns pictured: an Amina game, various Moon Tiger pieces, Doggie Dog tiles, and Moon Tiger coasters.

Dallas Mahj Club owners and certified Oh My Mahjong instructors, Ashley Gomez & Linda Casey, who travel the country teaching, are coming to Pittsburgh for the event.
Snacks and refreshments provided. Tickets for each class are $75. Save $10 per class when you purchase a ticket for both 101 + 102 classes ($130 total applies automatically at checkout).
Lesson 101 – An introductory lesson designed for brand new players. This three part lesson includes tile identification, understanding the card, and rules of play.
Lesson 102 – A continuation of Lesson 101, designed for players who need guided practice or have some experience and want to build on their foundational skills.
Masterclass – Designed for experienced players focused on advanced strategies and new styles of American Mahjong ways to play, with a NMJL card break down.

Visit our sister stores at the Annual Shadyside Sidewalk Sale this Wednesday, July 29 - Sunday, August 2! Though Glassworks' & Feathers' storefronts are temporarily closed due to smoke damage, we are going to have a tent and table up at the sidewalk sale. We'll have items from Contemporary Concepts and will be set up at in front of the (now closed) Shadyside Market & Deli at 5414 Walnut St., just a couple doors down from Glassworks and Feathers.
As usual, Cheeks will be set up in front of the store at 5411 Walnut St.
Stop by Glassworks, Feathers, and Cheeks during the Annual Shadyside Sidewalk Sale, which takes place from 10 am to 6 pm each day. Come to Walnut Street and its side streets to shop at your favorite stores and boutiques to find products at incredible discounts. Most local retail businesses will participate, offering up to 80% off regular retail. Savvy shoppers have flocked to the Sale for more than 30 years. Glassworks, Feathers, and Cheeks will offer the best deals of the year!
PARKING UPDATE: Walnut Street will be closed to street parking, but tons of parking is available. Spots are available at the Shadyside garage and surface lot on Bellefonte Street, and there is free 2-hour parking on the side-streets just off of Walnut. Look for the green permit signs for details.

Glassworks & Feathers Storefronts Temporarily Closed Due To Smoke Damage!
The morning of Saturday, July 18th Fujiya Ramen restaurant caught fire and has extensive damage. Glassworks and Feathers are located adjacent to Fujiya and share a walking alleyway. The smoke from the fire ruined everything inside the stores. Glassworks and Feathers storefronts will be closed at least a few weeks. We will share updates regarding the stores and when they will reopen.
In the meantime, Glassworks and Feathers customers may stop in at our sister store, Contemporary Concepts in the East Side/East Liberty area in the lower level of Trader Joes. Henry, the sales manager, and Ilene, the owner, will both be there to help you. The Glassworks and Feathers website is up and running and we are checking emails. Calls to the stores are being redirected to Ilene's phone or Contemporary Concepts.
Our other local sister store, Cheeks, located across the street on Walnut, was not damaged and is open. Glassworks and Feathers customers may stop in there, too. Don't forget that Cheeks in Squirrel Hill and Contemporary Concepts Too in Murrysville are open.
We will still be participating in the Annual Shadyside Sidewalk Sale on July 29 - August 2. Cheeks will have its usual fine selection of items and we will have goods from Contemporary Concepts at the Glassworks and Feathers tables.
