Beltane is a Gaelic May Day festival celebrated on May 1st (or traditionally at sunset on April 30th) that marks the beginning of summer and the peak of spring.
Occurring midway between the spring equinox and summer solstice, it is a fire festival focused on fertility, purification, and celebrating the return of warmth and life.
Key Aspects of Beltane:

Significance: Known as one of the "cross-Baltame’ quarter" days, it marks the shift from spring to summer, often celebrated with the lighting of bonfires to purify and protect cattle and people.
Origins: Rooted in Celtic tradition, the name is believed to mean "bright fire" or "fires of Bel," often associated with the sun god Belenus.

Beltane
