Chez Lapin Artisanal Soy Candles and Natural Skin-Care We are Chez Lapin, artisan producers of Soy Candles and Natural Skin Care.

Our mission is to inspire eco-concious, cruelty-free and natural living by handcrafting products that people can feel good about having in their home and on their bodies. We hand-blend, pour, and label our candles in our Pittsburgh home studio using sustainable soy, phthalate-free perfume oils infused with essential oils, and cotton braided wicks. We pride ourselves on our inspired artisan-ship, ethical production, and accessible prices.

What should we pour at Saturday’s Candle Refill Event? We’ll post the options on Wednesday to our Stories so you can vote!

And then come celebrate summer (and Lawrenceville Pride) with exclusive scents, in person shopping, and all the refills you could want.

Plus, Chef Richard from is popping up with his amazing biscotti (inspired by our fragrances) and more treats.

Here’s a taste of what (else!) we’ll have available:

Hair and body care: dry shampoo, lotion bars, shimmering body oil (!!)

Skincare: botanical facial oil, Rosie Glow exfoliating facial scrub, facial masks

Plus shop other eco-friendly options like our insect repellent balm in cardboard tubes and unwrapped taper candles. (We made Tomato Garden taper candles JUST for this event!)

Prep your jars for our Candle Refill Event next Saturday! Slide through to see how we recommend processing jars and vessels so they’re clean and ready to be reused.

No ticket required, just show up with your friends and hang with us before heading to Lawrenceville Pride! We’ll have a mocktail, good smells, and shop bunny Tipsy to pet. Even will be there with their award winning biscottis for sale!

People often ask me about my connection to rabbits (lapin is rabbit en français after all).

Of course, you know Tipsy, our shop rabbit, who lives in our studio 24/7 and is loved by everyone who comes in.

Not every rabbit finds a warm spot to land.

In our little corner of the world, we want to educate and combat that neglectful treatment.

As part of our commitment to the cruelty-free beauty care movement, a portion of every sale has always been donated to rabbit rescue.

Why don’t we use box packaging for our candles?

Yes, it can look nice in a retail shelf. But when it comes down to it, creating extra waste for the thousands of candles that leave our doors is just not something we think is responsible.

We reduce waste by all sorts of little measures - glass over plastic, re-using materials, our recycling program - so sending each candle off with a fancy packaging box just doesn’t make sense.

We also have Candle Refill Events that allow you to fill your containers for candles and body care with our goods for a reduced price per ounce and prevent more containers from being waste.

We provide light refreshments, revolving products for refill, more shopping, and good vibes!
