Today seems like a pretty good day to put the to-do list down for a little while and pick up something that makes you happy.

Maybe that's sewing all afternoon.

Maybe it's cutting out ONE block.

Maybe it's drinking coffee while looking at the project you intend to work on. 😂

🧵 Becky’s Thread of Wisdom

You know what I love about quilting?

There is always something else to learn.

A new technique. A different way to use a tool. A little trick somebody across the table figured out completely by accident. Sometimes even discovering that the way you’ve been doing something for YEARS isn’t the only way. 😂

We can spend so much time worrying about how much we don’t know that we forget to celebrate how much we’re still willing to learn.

You don't have to know everything.

You don't have to master everything.

You just have to stay curious. ❤️

Because the minute we stop worrying about what we should already know, learning gets a whole lot more fun.

🧵 Saturdays are for staying awhile.

We’re wrapping up our week of Star 60 Log Cabin TOMS today, but there’s something we love about a Saturday spent learning together.

No need to know everything before you walk through the door. We’ll figure it out, practice together, laugh at the wonky bits, celebrate the “AHA!” moments—and probably learn a thing or two from the person sitting next to us. ❤️

Because around here, learning is always better when we do it together.

⭐ Sometimes learning one new technique opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

Today we’re diving into the Star 60 Log Cabin for Technique of the Month—and this is exactly the kind of learning we love at The Studio.

We’ll learn it. We’ll practice it. We’ll probably have an “OH! Now I get it!” moment or two. 😂 And then the fun really begins when everyone starts imagining what else they could do with it.

Because learning a technique isn’t just about making this project.

It’s about adding one more possibility to your quilting toolbox. ❤️

🧵 Some days, The Studio just hums. Thursday is one of those days.

We’ll start the morning with Mission Sew Possible, catch up with our virtual quilting friends during our Perfectly Squared Zoom Check-In, then finish the day with Stitch Club with Esther and TOMS: Star 60 Log Cabin.

Some will be learning. Some will be working on their own projects. Some will be checking in from miles away.

Different projects. Different places. Different reasons for pulling up a chair.

Today really does look like us. ❤️

We’ve got The Hoop Hive kicking off the morning with embroidery, Stitch Club gathering around the tables, and tonight our virtual Junior Year quilters are pulling up their chairs from home for Block #1!

Different projects. Different places. Different ways of learning and creating.

Same community. ❤️

And we think that’s pretty darn cool.

🧵 Mondays at The Studio.

Machines humming. Projects spread out. Someone looking for the seam ripper they JUST had. 😂 And plenty of conversation happening across the table.

No big production. No need to be working on anything in particular.

Just a few hours set aside to sew, visit, and start the week with people who understand why sometimes you just need time with your fabric and your people. ❤️

That’s a pretty good Monday in our book.

One conversation. One shared idea. One person scooting their chair over to make room for someone else.

Eventually, all those little pieces become something pretty wonderful.

🪑❤️ There’s something about an empty chair.

Around here, it doesn’t mean nobody showed up. It means there’s still room.

Room for another project. Another story. Another cup of coffee. Another person who could use a few hours surrounded by people who understand why fabric, laughter, and time at a sewing machine can make a week a little better.

We make a lot of quilts here.

But somewhere along the way, we’ve made something else, too.

A community. 🧵❤️

And there’s always room at the table.
