Our graphic novels section has been exceptionally good lately as we prep for holiday gifting and acquire new to us (but used for you) editions of beautiful books.

Many of the graphic novels and comics we have are grouped by publisher, but we also have a shelf for graphic adaptations of popular novels, a shelf for staff favorites, new and local releases, fiction and nonfiction graphic novels, and more!

Have you seen the larger than life Buffy the Vampire Slayer omnibus?

It's that time of year!! All books on our dollar table are now FREE 📚

Come and grab as many as you can 💙💙💙

If there is one thing about our independent bookstore, it's that it's much bigger on the inside than you'd think it would be!

Come and see where we like to keep mythology 📚

If you're attending the Book Fair, please make sure to come and stop by to say hello to Julie!

We are so lucky to have been friends for so long and to celebrate you in this tremendous moment.

Congratulations Colin Meloy and Carson on the triumph of Wildwood, out now. Make sure to catch a screening up the street at Moreland Theater 🐦‍⬛

Limited signed copies of the series are available now 📚

There is still time this week to participate in our book drive for Portland Books Through Bars 📚

Look for the shelf signs around the store, or pick up a book from our display at the register to donate forward and support their work of getting quality books and reading materials to people in prisons.

Starting to scope out some holiday planning? Good news, Library of America just released some stunning editions of the complete Ursula K. Le Guin Earthsea with colored map end pages!

Happy New Books Tuesday to us all, here are a few highlights of this week's releases and this years' "The Best American"
collection 📚

It's time for a new display, who's excited for Halloween? 🎃

We recently brought in a collection of classic Twilight Zone magazines, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic collector's omnibus, and a 50th anniversary edition of Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice 🦇

What are some of your favorite horror reads?

10/13/2026

These past few New Books Tuesday releases have really felt like a gift to us, personally, with how many shop favorite authors & publishers have been coming out with new titles!

The Wayward Children series is being published in omnibus format, instead of individual novellas, and volume two is out today.

Bonnie Garmus (of Lessons in Chemistry) brings us Peck & Peck, following a young man hired at the most prestigious, secretive, and dysfunctional poetry journal in the world.

Becky Chambers, Heated Rivalry annotated script by director Jacob Tierney, Stephen Graham Jones, Heartwood Hotel, and more not pictured.

Let us know what we can reserve for you! We always allow book requests via DM 📚

10/08/2026

We have been pulling books for kids and young readers throughout the store!

New board books, used picture books, and collections of horror for middle grade readers - like Goosebumps 🎃

Looking for some seasonal reads? Come take a look!
