Happy New Book Tuesday! This week the second book in Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl series is being released in paperback, along with many more popular titles. We've also got copies of Aaron Mahnke's newest book Exhumed, about the early American vampire panic which led to the legendary exhumation of RI's own Mercy Brown. (Aaron will be visiting the store for a reading later this month--check our website for more info!)

🌻 Mark your calendars! September Events 🌻

We have so many events scheduled for the fall and we’re so excited for all of them!

As we gear up for our fall events season, we’re even more excited to let you know we are rolling out an Eventbrite to help us with event registration.

Unless otherwise indicated, all of our events are free. However, to help our staff keep track of numbers and attendance, we are asking event patrons to register for events they are going to attend.

The Eventbrite is linked in our bio, and if you see the Event information on our webpage, you’ll see a spot to “RSVP” and it will take you to Eventbrite.

Please note, we are working to get all of our events still up on our website but all events are on Eventbrite and you are able to register for them!

We hope to see you at some of our events this fall!

Want to read more q***r books? Join us at Lavender Lit Club, Books on the Square's own LGBTQ+ book club!

For July 31 we'll be reading A PRINCE AMONG PIRATES by Katie Abdou, a charming gay YA romance set during the golden age of piracy. We'll be welcoming author Katie to the store to celebrate her new release and answer our burning questions!

Then on August 28, we'll swash a very kind of different buckle when we discuss VAMPIRES AT SEA by Lindsay Merbaum. This book follows a pair of married bisexual vampires on a q***r cruise that may alter their relationship forever.

Lavender Lit Club is an LGBTQ+ book club which meets on the last Friday of every month at 6pm at Books on the Square, run by bookseller Thomas. It's our goal to sample a little bit of everything from the weird and wonderful world of q***r lit. All are welcome!
