We are Craig and Jennifer Burkinshaw the new owners of The Chocolate Truffle. We are excited to continue making the fine truffles and chocolates that are so well known and appreciated. In addition to those fine confections we have added Fudges, Caramels, Hard Candies, Butter Crunch & Brittles at our candy shop. Soon these additional treats will be available online as well. Craig is a 4th generatio

n candy maker with over 20 years of experience. His Great Grandfather purchased the Ye Olde Pepper Companie of Salem at the turn of the century and the candy company continues to run today. Craig left his family’s business to pursue his real passion for candy making the way it was. To produce quality confections in small batches, handmade with the finest ingredients. This is the root of the best recipes and can be continued in a small shop like The Chocolate Truffle. Having worked for years worry about quantity and production time to keep up with orders, it was time for a change. The Chocolate Truffle is that change, back to basics. We truly are the small candy shop on Main Street. Stop by and see what’s cooking today, try a taste of something new or maybe an old recipe that hasn’t been made in years. I wanted a candy shop where I could bring back the art of candy making and be proud of those confections. Jennifer grew up working on a Dairy Farm and has spent the last 20 years working in Accounting and Marketing in the private sector. She has built a successful career in business and enjoys the challenges of small business operations. The couple has two daughters Meagan and Allie. Being a Mom is my first job and the most important. Finding the balance between work and home is my greatest challenge. Both girls help out in the Candy Shop and of course sample the treats. They are our toughest critics too. We are bringing back a new kind of old fashioned, preserving the past and changing the future. Give us a try and taste the way candy should be. From our family to yours….
