Discovering Laura Preston’s Exhibit

One of the highlights of my visit to Two Chicks Quilting was experiencing the beautiful Storybook Quilts book display, written by Laura Preston of Slice of Pi Quilts,

Laura’s book features 14 quilt designs inspired by children’s book illustrations, blending the magic of storytelling with the artistry of quilting. Each quilt captured the wonder, imagination, and charm that so many of us remember from our favorite childhood books. The shop has created bundles that include the one of the children’s book referenced in Laura’s book.

It All Started with a Billboard

🚗 Sometimes the best quilting adventures aren’t planned—they begin with a billboard!

As I was traveling through Texas, a sign for Two Chicks Quilting caught my eye. If you know me, you know I can’t pass up a quilt shop! So, I made the turn, not knowing I was about to discover a place filled with creativity, inspiration, and wonderful people.
