Eclipse is a retail store selling comics of all kinds, science-fiction and fantasy books, and the full gamut of classic gaming entertainment -- tabletop RPGs, miniature games, collectible card games, board games, and all other such nerdly delights! (We don't sell video games, though -- too much competition in that market.)

Attention, denizens of the 41st Millenium!
Our first Warhammer 40k tournament of the fall semester will take place on Saturday, August 29th. This will be a 2,000-point game, with three rounds of play. Entry fee is $10 (becomes prizes), registration will start at 8am and the first round of play begins at 9am.

43 years ago, Shirley Moriarity started Eclipse Books & Comics, spawning it off the successful parts of a dying bookstore where she had worked.
She ran it for almost 20 years, expanding it from comics and sci-fi/fantasy books to become a game store as well. I was a loyal customer long before she sold it to me at the end of 2002. I've done my best to build on what she created.
Today we learned that Shirley passed away last month, at the age of 86. Ave Atqae Vale!

Reminder to everyone: This weekend sees the arrival of MtG The Hobbit!
As always, our sealed-deck prerelease tournaments will happen at the Rolla store on Friday night (8pm) and Saturday afternoon (2pm), and at the Fort Wood store on Sunday afternoon (1pm).
