For more than twenty years, those in our community in need of food, clothing, and a helping hand have known where to go: Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County. Next Tuesday, September 8, join SAGA as we help them celebrate their next chapter with the Ribbon Cutting for their new and improved thrift store. The store doesn’t just mean great deals for us and a second life for our old goods – the proceeds go to support their food pantry, medical equipment loans, bill assistance, and other outreach programs. With their expanded space and capacity, they’ll be able to widen their reach – good news for our neighbors who rely on them in times of need. We look forward to seeing you there!

I just want to say thank you to our community for the incredible week we have had reopening our thrift store. But most of all I want to thank our two paid staff members and ALL the others who volunteer their time to our organization. I have been made aware of some derogatory comments on social media. Please realize our donations have doubled and tripled these last two weeks and this week we processed over 1,000 sales into our registers with this team. They have gone above and beyond to move an entire store and set up the new one. Im sure the smiles and excitement are exhausted in them but hurtful comments are not called for until you have walked in their shoes these last few weeks. Be kind, be helpful and most of all be nice to those who give their time in raising funds for us to feed our neighbors and children in Lee County! They deserve our praise and applause.👏🏻
