It is sold as a photosynthetic coral. Photosynthesis does not pay its bills.
What the measurements say:
Only about 10% of the algal photosynthate reaches animal tissue Symbiont carbon covers under 50% of respiration in almost every season The rest comes from zooplankton, fine particles and dissolved organics
Feed it a fine particle coral food once or twice a week.
Then keep it 10-15 cm from your stony corals and run carbon. This coral does not sting, it wins on chemistry.
