Featured Artist of the Month: John Melillo
Join us on June 18th as we celebrate our Featured Artist of the Month, John Melillo, a disabled Vietnam Veteran whose artwork reflects a lifetime connection to Long Island’s East End.
“I grew up on the East End of Long Island and use painting as a source of solace and healing. Much of my art is inspired by my East End heritage.” – John Melillo
With deep family roots stretching back to the late 1800s in Southampton, Water Mill, and Sagaponack, John’s work captures the landscapes, waters, and memories that have shaped his life. From childhood summers spent fishing and exploring the East End to decades of experiencing its beauty firsthand, his paintings tell a personal story of place, history, healing, and appreciation for Long Island’s coastal communities.
