Ever had a moment where creativity just *clicks*? 🌟

That’s exactly what happened to Cassie Byington (.art) when she discovered block printing in a gallery—she instantly knew she had to try it herself. Now, she transforms simple designs into magical prints, like these whimsical trees that capture the wonder of the Northwest.

Swing by, say hello, and experience Cassie’s work up close! 🌲✨

Ever feel like your creative spark is running low or you’ve hit a wall in your artistic journey? Here’s your reminder: keep going. Every step, every stumble, every new idea—it's all part of the process. You’re just as much an artist in the tough moments as you are in the inspired ones. Growth never stops, and neither does your creativity. You’re always learning, always evolving, and there’s always more art ahead.

Meet your new emotional support cup, fresh from Casey Doyle! () 🥛

Every single droplet on this cup is placed by hand—a process that asks Casey to slow down, focus, and pour intention into every detail. It’s a gentle reminder to pause and savor the moment, whether you’re sipping coffee, tea, or just taking a breath.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS! 🎤

Join us for our next Terrain Talks Discussion, where we dive into the topic of Career Growth as a Musician with artist manager and founder of directINFLUX, Ryker (she/he/they). This event is not just exclusive to musicians. All artists and businesses are welcomed to attend, as we will offer career growth tips that can apply to other creative industries.

Ryker, born in Washington, is an artist manager recognized for their ability to build artists and brands from the ground up. With nearly a decade of experience across live music and artist development, she continues to operate as both a talent buyer and festival curator while leading her management company, directINFLUX.

Many artists feel like they have to leave smaller markets to build a successful career, but the reality is more nuanced. This panel explores how artists can maximize the opportunities in Spokane while also strategically expanding into larger nearby markets.

We'll discuss what it takes to build a sustainable career by creating meaningful relationships, thinking beyond your next release, and intentionally positioning yourself for long-term growth. Rather than focusing on going viral or simply moving to a bigger city, this conversation is about building the foundation, reputation, and momentum that allow opportunities to find you, wherever you're starting from.

Meet Kiara Lime —an artist whose style is as unique as her story! Described as “an anime fan who doesn’t even watch anime,” Kiara’s playful, vibrant work is instantly recognizable. She starts with a simple sketch on paper, then brings it to life digitally, blending real-world colors from markers, ink, and paint to create the fun stickers and designs we all love.

Kiara draws inspiration from everywhere: Shoujo Manga, her friends and family, and her own lived experiences. Her hope? That her art helps you connect with your values and express your truest self.

We’re so grateful to have Kiara as both an artist and a member of the Terrain team. Her journey with us began a decade ago as a volunteer at our flagship show, and now she’s helping shape the creative community she once admired from afar. As Kiara says, “Getting to be both a From Here artist and staffer has been really special to me… seeing Terrain grow and make space for chronically-online, fandom-obsessed Internet artists like myself has been heartwarming.”

Let’s celebrate the makers who make Spokane vibrant! Drop a comment to show Kiara some love or share how her art inspires you. 💬✨

Life Is S**t. And somehow, it smells really good. 😂

Mary Hanlin’s natural room sprays are made with simple ingredients like essential oils, water, glycerin, and rubbing alcohol, then bottled up in glass.

But there’s more to it than just making your house smell fantastic. Mary’s goal is to create products that make people happy and let your spending be part of something bigger—a community working to make people’s lives a little better.

Basically: good smell, good vibes, good mission.

Some notebooks are just notebooks. These are a little more interesting. 👀📓

Curious Finch notebooks are made from vintage books, old board games, and salvaged paper—all given a second life by Kat Smith. Each one is cut, punched, and sewn together by hand, and some even include pages from the original book.

Kat started making them because she couldn’t find a journal she actually liked to write in. So naturally, she made her own. 😂

Come flip through the Curious Finch collection and find one that’s ready for you!
