Tammy Tuggle was recently nominated as a Save A Lot Hometown Hero for the incredible work she does feeding and supporting children and families in Glasgow Village. She was in the running for a $500 gift card to help continue that mission.💜

Here’s why Tammy was nominated:
Tammy has made a powerful difference in Glasgow Village by creating a sharing closet that provides free food, clothing, toys, and essentials to families in need. She has built a safe, welcoming space for children with activities, hot meals, and support—often using her own time, money, and resources. Over the past four years, she has served more than 1,000 people and continues to lead with compassion, dedication, and heart. That is what a true Hometown Hero looks like. 🦸🏽‍♀️✨

She didn’t win the nationwide contest, but we don’t need a contest to celebrate her. If Tammy is our HOMETOWN HERO, then it’s time for the HOMETOWN to bless her organization in a way that goes far beyond that $500 gift card.
