A special treat during Sycamore’s Pumpkin Fest is getting to step inside Sycamore’s history with the DeKalb County History Center’s Historic Homes Tour.

I especially love bringing a special someone along who has never been before. Each year features different homes, new stories, and another chance to appreciate the history tucked into our own community.

Since photography and video inside the homes aren’t permitted, consider this a little glimpse of the experience around the tour!

For me, it’s a 10/10 experience and a wonderful example of how the DeKalb County History Center makes local history accessible, engaging, and fun.
