Our crowd fund campaign did not reach our goal!

We’re still celebrating.

As a white-owned business, we have plenty access to capital - even as it doesn’t feel like it most days. Yes, we’re struggling - mindful chocolate, from cacao to compost, is crazy expensive to make, y’all. But the need for wealth redistribution remains our North Star. This has never been about the chocolate.

Craft chocolate is our medium. The art is showing up. Recentering “sweetness” as more than candy. Raising the bar.

Sweetness starts in relationship: to community, food, ourselves.

We’re on a mission to become the first 100% worker-owned craft chocolate maker cooperative by 2035.

This fall, slowcocoa celebrates 5 years since our first farmers market. We’re so grateful to announce the next stage of our growth.

Folks often ask us, “where can we find you during the week?” Nearly two years in the works, we are SO excited to share this rebirthing of slowcocoa | mindful craft chocolate in the form of our new packaging. So many humans have contributed their full selves to make this idea come to fruition. We need your to make the final push.

This year we won Bronze in the Craft Chocolat Challenge for Best Milk Chocolate - to our knowledge, the first-ever vegan milk chocolate to medal in the history of the competition?!! Let’s prove that vegan “milk” chocolate is more than sugar, corn syrup, emulsifiers, artificial or natural flavors, cloying sweetness…. It can (and should) be yummy in its own right!
