This was a fun lil doodle for the The Buckman Brewhouse no ai art contest.
As many of you know, I choose to keep generative AI out of my creative process and advertising. While the technology is growing rapidly, I have deep concerns about its impact on the environment, the workforce, and the preservation of genuine artistic skills. When a machine handles everything from the first draft to the final presentation, we risk losing the human growth that comes from learning and practice.
At Found Familiar Arts , you will not find AI-generated advertisements or flyers. Instead, I prefer using free tools like Canva without the AI prompts, alongside established art software like Krita and Corel.
My handmade signs might not look like the ultra-polished, flashy templates filling everyone's feeds today, and that is completely intentional. Marketing materials should genuinely fit the unique personality of a small business rather than blending into a crowd of identical graphics. There are millions of wonderful, free clipart resources and fonts available to create clean, readable text without relying on artificial generation.
For example, it took me just ten minutes to design my core table flyers. By combining samples of my own original artwork with a simple border and clear typography, the project was finished quickly with zero automation required.
Relying heavily on current AI tools can sometimes sacrifice long-term quality for the sake of temporary convenience. I believe in prioritizing effort over shortcuts, and I always choose quality over quantity. Thank you for supporting human creativity and independent art.
