Happy Sunday. Sick of candy yet? Here’s some eye candy instead.

These are a few pieces that caught my eye yesterday. I pulled them from the pile, and they’re out on the floor today. Slow morning over here, coffee in hand, recovering from last night. 🥰🥱

Friday was slow enough that I had time to actually show you what hit the racks this week, so here we are 🎃

Heads up on weekend hours:
Saturday (Halloween): open 11–2. Closing early!
Sunday: open 11–5

The shop is full of good stuff in “men’s” and “women’s” sizing, including coats, cords, boots, fleece-lined everything, and at least two meese.

If our short window tomorrow doesn’t work, please, please come see us Sunday. We hear there’s a new donut shop opening in town on 11/1 Donut Things Café , so it’s a great day to come to Westbrook anyway.

A little Friday check-in from the bottom of the inventory mountain. 😂

It’s been a quiet one, so consider this your friendly reminder: I’M HERE!

I’ve been so busy with intake, pricing, and taking on the roll of full-time costume maker that I’ve been a little slower with inventory drops for you ( ). But trust me when I say there is SO much good stuff coming through the pipeline. I’m planning a fresh inventory preview for Sunday morning!

And what’s already here? It’s hitting the floor as quickly as I can tag, price, and steam it! So there’s always something new to discover when you stop by.

I’m closing early Saturday so I can dress up and romp around outside with my kid. Not much brings me more joy than that.

I love Halloween so much, and I love a good fright. But just a reminder: the truly scary part of Halloween is the waste. Between individually wrapped candy, polyester costumes, and plastic everything, it adds up fast, and most of it ends up in a landfill after one use. So make do, make it yourself, or buy it secondhand. Make good choices 🖤

Today I got to spend a minute with my friends at American Roots , a longtime staple of the Dana Warp Mill, and hear union leaders speak alongside Hannah Pingree and Troy Jackson about workers’ rights, public education, healthcare, childcare, immigration, and Maine’s future.

As a mother and small-business owner, these issues aren’t abstract to me. They shape our everyday lives and the stability we’re trying to build for our families. I want a future where my daughter has opportunities, families can access the care they need, and working people and small businesses have a real chance to thrive.

That’s why I’m voting for Troy Jackson for U.S. Senate. Hearing these issues discussed in practical, thoughtful terms was genuinely encouraging, especially when so many of us feel disillusioned with politics. The decisions our elected officials make have real consequences for the people who call Maine home.

And I got to meet Troy, too! He was being pulled in a million directions. When I asked for a picture, he thought I wanted to talk. He had to run, but then came BACK to find me and chat for a minute. A small gesture that left me with a good feeling. ❤️

No politician should be above scrutiny, and we won’t agree on everything. But I believe our choices matter. I believe in a Maine where families have a fair shot and public service means taking people’s real lives seriously.

MAINE, LET’S SHOW UP. ❤️

Feeling disillusioned or wondering whether your vote matters? I get it. Ask questions, do your research, and make your own decision. But please, use your voice.

Feeling antsy about the election? Consider canvassing for a candidate you believe in. Plenty of people are undecided or disengaged. You don’t have to reach a thousand people to make a difference. One meaningful conversation can matter. You can be part of the change you want to see.

Today, October 29, is the last day to vote early in person by absentee ballot at your municipal clerk’s office. Check your local hours and make a plan!

The future we’re building together is worth showing up for. ❤️
