Wetumpka Public Library

Wetumpka Public Library Library membership is free to anyone who lives or works in Elmore County. A parent or guardian may get a library card for any child 6 years old or older.

To obtain a Wetumpka Library Card you need to bring one picture ID and one other item showing your current address. Examples of this second item are printed checks, bills, hunting or fishing licenses, etc. A parent or guardian must sign for their child’s library card if the child is under 18 years of age. Regional cards may also be obtained here and entitle the holder to apply for library membersh

ips at all libraries in the Horseshoe Bend Regional Library System free of charge. The counties covered by this system are Elmore, Coosa, Tallapoosa, and Lee. The same id requirements for the Wetumpka Library card are required to obtain a Regional Card.

🏈 INDIAN NATION, IT’S TIME TO SHOW UP! 🖤💛

Join us TONIGHT at 6 p.m. at the Elmore County Courthouse for the Downtown Pep Rally as we come together to celebrate our Wetumpka Indians!

Come out and enjoy performances from WHS Cheer, Dance, and the Pride of the Tribe Band, along with recognition of our middle school and youth football and cheer teams.

Then tomorrow night, the Indians take the field for their FIRST HOME GAME of the season! Let’s carry that hometown pride into the stadium and PACK THE STANDS in black and gold! 🏈

Tonight, we rally. Tomorrow, we cheer them on to victory!

Our library friends learned all about the incredible ways dogs help us every day. We also read about a very silly dog named Chip, who taught us some big "life lessons" about sharing, responsibility, and keeping our special toys safe! 🧸🐶
