There was, in fact, a LOT of labor this Labor Day Weekend. The amazing AG Team worked incredibly hard all week to bring four beautiful weddings to life, and if you work in this industry, you know that doesn’t happen without a whole lot of hustle behind the scenes!

To all of our vendor friends who were also running on caffeine, adrenaline, and probably very little sleep: we see you. We hope today brings a slow morning, a quiet day, and a very well-deserved recovery.

Happy Labor Day, friends. You earned it.

These warmer fall days have given us an opportunity to explore a fresh take on a seasonal color palette. For Michelle and Danny, we paired shades of blue, cream, butter yellow, and peach with deeper, earthy tones. Dark wood chairs, chinoiserie vases, and touches of gold complemented the character of the Three Oaks Ballroom at The Drake Oak Brook, adding depth and warmth while maintaining an overall sense of lightness.

The result was a colorful day filled with lots of love and some of our favorite vendors.

Thank you for following along through all our events, flower-filled days, the behind the scenes chaos, the pretty details, and everything in between. We’re incredibly grateful for every follow, like, comment, share, and recommendation over the years!

We may be a little buried in stems over here, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s to 5000 and all the beautiful things still to come.

This wedding was a true fairytale! We couldn’t stop staring at our staircase floral installation, made even more magical once the bride and groom snuggled up on the steps. Speechless - no notes - chefs kiss 👌

Feeling the summer blues, in the very best way 🩵

A palette of blue, white, and green was carried through every detail of this summer celebration. Blue hydrangea and reaching stems of delphinium were paired with crisp white blooms and pops of bright greenery, while patterned linens, taper candles and lamps brought additional layers of color to the tablescape. The result felt fresh, refined, and perfectly suited for summer.

Guess what?! Christmas is 4 months from today! We LOVE a December wedding; it’s one of our favorite months to design for! Here’s why:
-With December comes an effortless sense of warmth, celebration, and coziness… that gives us so much to build upon creatively.
-December naturally lends itself to an abundance of candlelight, velvet, texture, and seasonal elements… all perfect for a fun and unique design.
-So many couples overlook the winter months, which means there’s an opportunity to create something really fresh and distinctive rather than expected.

As you see with Rachel & Kevin’s beautiful December wedding at The Drake Oak Brook, we can create a warm and festive feeling without being “Christmas”. We embraced the magic of the season while still making the design feel like the couple.
