We’re hiring a bookseller (or two)!

Dear Reader is looking for one or two more booksellers to join our team part-time, 10–20 hours a week, $20/hour, weekends required plus the occasional evening event.

You will be recommending books, building displays, running the register, working author nights, hosting a monthly book club, and posting to our Instagram while you’re on the floor. If you read constantly, know what’s coming out this season, and can’t stop yapping when someone asks “what should I read next?” this job is for you!

Social media skills a plus. Bookstore experience not required.

🏹 Join us at a special book club series centered on The Hunger Games in anticipation of the release of the film Sunrise on the Reaping this fall! New readers and re-readers welcome! Our first meeting will discuss book one, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Every 3 weeks, we will read the next book in the series then meet at the bookstore to discuss over snacks and bevvies with bookish friends! Join us at Dear Reader Books & Stationery for Bloom Between the Pages - Floral Resin Bookmark Workshop with The Creative Pour.

Class Date: Tuesday, July 7th

Class Time: 7-9pm

Cost: $45 per ticket

Class size will be limited to 16 adults.

Create a stunning, one-of-a-kind resin bookmark using real dried flowers, glitter, and decorative accents. During this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll design and assemble your bookmarks while learning the basics of working with UV resin from Brooke of The Creative Pour. No experience is necessary. Your bookmark will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop.

Each workshop ticket includes:

2 hours of hands-on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner.
