For SAR fans, here's a recent installation in an older Austrains 700 class model. Although DCC ready, the decoder was hardwired, with LED headlights replacing the original globe headlights.

Twin sound decoder installation in a Southern Rail Models NSWGR U set for a customer. Featuring two sound decoders, an ESU LokSound 5 8 pin in the motored unit and a LokSound 5 FX 21-MTC decoder in the non-motored car. Bespoke design, twin driver speakers reside in each car. Sounds have been configured to work off one cab address, with directional horns, guard's bell and whistle.

Some recent and very fiddly sound installations in Hornby's R30445 Birth of the Railways models, including Rocket, Locomotion and Lion. ESU LokSound Micro and Zimo MS sound decoders were fitted. The video features Rocket with a Zimo MS decoder and DCCSound custom designed speaker fitted.

What's got 4 wheels and 4 cylinders? Our updated VR Rail Tractor sound project, with fresh recordings of Fordson equipped 53 RT.

A new type of installation completed in an older Atlas Genset. Upon receipt and inspection of the model, it was evident no room existed for a sound decoder, speaker and stay-alive. Instead of machining the existing chassis away, a new chassis with integrated speaker and platform the decoder and stay-alive was produced. A neat solution as there is now room for a large speaker, ESU LokSound decoder and Power pack mini.
