The guys have been busy picking lots of apples this past week… but now, what everyone has been waiting for!

MACS ARE HERE! ❤️🍎

Tart and delicious when first picked, with a sweetness that develops as they ripen. They’re firm, crisp and juicy, with beautiful white flesh, and they even make a lovely pink applesauce!

Perfect for eating fresh, packing in those school lunches, or baking — unless you like your apple pies on the softer side! 😉

The first three varieties of the season have officially hit the market shelf, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🙌

🍎 Ginger Gold — Another great all-around apple for snacking AND baking.

🍎 Paula Reds — An old-school favourite, similar to a McIntosh! They start out nice and tart, but give them a little time and those sugars develop, turning them sweet and delicious. ❤️

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Cheer Farms team shares the loss of a very special member of our farm family, George. ❤️

George wasn’t just an employee — he was family. For the past 19 years, he was a familiar and much-loved face around the farm and market.

You could often find George coming around the corner with a rag in one hand, shining apples until they were just right, and a half-peck basket in the other. He took such pride in caring for the market, treating it as though it were his own. Everything had to look perfect, and those apples were always shined just enough to catch your eye.

George’s smile was contagious, and his presence brought so much life and happiness to everyone around him. Nineteen years is a lot of memories, laughs, hard work and moments that we will forever cherish.

George, thank you for being such an important part of our Cheer Farms family. You will be deeply missed, but your memory will live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing you.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with George’s entire family and everyone who is feeling this tremendous loss. ❤️

Rest easy, George. Thank you for 19 wonderful years. 🕊️

🍎 Three cheers for APPLES! 🍎

That’s right… our very first fresh apples of the season have arrived! 🎉🍎 Picked fresh from our friends in beautiful Prince Edward County!

They may be small, but they are mighty! 💪 These are Jersey Mac apples — crisp, fresh, and on the tart side. If you love a good tart apple, this one is for you! 😋🍏

And this is just the beginning of apple season, which means the dreaded F-word is coming… 😱

Yep… FALL! 🍂😂

We’ve still got plenty of summer left to enjoy, but in just a few short weeks, fall will be knocking on the door!

🎂❤️ Birthday Week continues… and today we have TWO very special birthdays to celebrate! ❤️🎂

First up, we have a heavenly birthday for Farmer Dave. 🤍

We hope you’re up there watching over us, probably still finding ways to scare us when we least expect it! 😂 We hope you’re farming, fishing, hunting, and doing all the things you loved most.

And we really hope there’s a small double-double and a blueberry muffin waiting for you for breakfast… followed by wings and a beer for dinner. 🍺☕️🫐

We miss you more than words can ever explain. Life down here has certainly been different, and we’re learning more each day — even on the really hard days. We just hope we’re making you proud and doing things the way you’d want us to. ❤️

Then, we have our Master Baker, Phil! 🧑‍🍳🎂

We want to wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We hope you have an amazing day and that your family spoils you because you certainly deserve it! ❤️
