Custom order wreaths are going to their new home later today, and since I was outside spraying them for UV protection, I couldn’t help but hang that massive swag on my door for a natural lit photo.

✨ A very special custom order completed! ✨

My mom has told me a few times that I should try my hand at creating some faith-inspired wreaths. I always told her that while they probably wouldn’t be something I’d regularly make for inventory, I would be more than happy to create one if someone ever asked.

Well… someone asked❤️

I was genuinely so pleased to have the opportunity to create these.

One of my favourite things about custom orders is that they allow me to create something that has meaning to the person receiving it. Everyone has different styles, traditions, beliefs and things that are special to them, and I love being able to take someone’s idea and turn it into something they can proudly display in their home.

These two were a little different from my usual creations, and I absolutely loved the challenge of bringing each vision to life.

I’m incredibly happy with how they turned out and very grateful to the wonderful customer who trusted me to create something so meaningful for them. ❤️

Sometimes handmade is more than simply making something pretty. It’s creating something that feels like you. ✨

🧶✨ A Little Rustic Shore Update! ✨🧶

Custom orders have been flying in over the last week, and you guys are seriously on the ball this year making sure you get your goodies in time for the holiday season! 🎄❤️

And let’s face it… cozy season is coming. 🍂☕
Chunky blankets, wreaths, warm rustic décor… if there’s one thing we know how to do around here, it’s COZY. 🥰

Right now, I’m officially 7 custom orders deep! 😳❤️

To make sure everyone who has already ordered gets their items on time, I’m going to be prioritizing those orders and temporarily putting new custom orders on hold.

👉 If you’re not in a rush, I’m more than happy to add you to my wait list!

We didn’t make it into the big Garden Centre market this year, BUT we still have the possibility of getting into the big 3-day Christmas market in Fredericton! 🎄🎅 If we get in, this little craft room is going to need to produce a LOT of stock between now and then. 😂

Most of you know that Rustic Shore is my labour of love outside of my full-time job… and somewhere in there I also have a 4-month-old crazy Labrador puppy 🐾 who terrorizes her 6 year old crazy Labrador sister, a husband, a house, and hopefully a little bit of pool season left before New Brunswick decides summer is officially cancelled. 😂

So for the next little while, my focus is:

❤️ Finishing current custom orders
🧶 Building up inventory
🎄 Preparing for a possible BIG Christmas market
☕ Consuming a questionable amount of coffee
🐾 Trying to convince Nöel that not everything is hers

We should know within the next few weeks whether we’ve made the Christmas market. If we don’t, no worries at all! I’ll immediately open custom orders back up for the holiday season. 🎁

And remember, anything I currently have in stock is ALWAYS up for grabs! No waiting required. ❤️

✨ NEW BUDGET-FRIENDLY BLANKET SIZE! ✨

You asked….I listened!

Still large, still cozy, still handmade on a loom, and now a little easier on the wallet. 🤎

Approximately 36” x 57”(will still slightly stretch with use). They’re the perfect size for curling up on the couch, adding a cozy touch to your favourite chair, or gifting to someone special. 🥰

Each blanket is handmade with 6-8 Skeins (brand of yarn pending) with the same care and cozy goodness you expect from Rustic Shore Crafting, just in a size that lets us offer them at a more affordable price.

Let’s talk blankets — because a little change is coming to Rustic Shore Crafting Co.! 🤎

We all know the price of everything seems to be going up, and unfortunately, small craft businesses and makers are feeling it too. Handmade items don’t just take time to create — there’s also a pretty significant upfront cost for materials.

And seriously… have you seen the price of yarn lately?! 😳 It’s insane!

Here’s something you might not know: depending on the pattern, one of my blankets can take anywhere from 5 to 20 HOURS to make! Every chain, every row and every finishing touch is done by hand. 🧶❤️

But I’ve heard you when you’ve asked about a slightly smaller, more budget-friendly option.

So… YOU ASKED, AND I LISTENED! 🙌

I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes and have made two prototype blankets, testing different numbers of chains and rows to find that sweet spot — still cozy and generously sized, just a little smaller than my current blankets.

And… WE HAVE A WINNER! 🎉

The new blankets will only be slightly smaller than my current large size, but that little change allows me to bring the cost down and hopefully make them more accessible while still keeping the quality you expect from Rustic Shore Crafting Co. 🤎

Custom orders will still be available, with pricing varying depending on the yarn, materials and pattern chosen.

I’m SO excited to start creating patterns in the new size and show you what’s coming! 🧶

We have applied for a few big markets coming up for the Fall and Winter season and this weekend my hope is to get to spend time working on some upcoming seasonal items.

Stay tuned for hopeful announcements of acceptance to those markets.

Public service announcement 📣❤️

You all support my small business… now I’m asking you to help support my parents’ retirement hobby before they accidentally turn their entire property into a workshop 😆

If you haven’t yet, go check out Bugs & More (👈🏼click this link) in Grand Falls, NB!

My parents took retirement and apparently decided relaxing was overrated… so now they spend their time turning old railroad spikes, silverware, and barn wood into some seriously cool creations. Think quirky garden bugs, birdhouses, coat racks, and all kinds of unique handmade pieces.

Honestly, who else looks at old cutlery and says “you know what this needs? To become a bug.” 🐞😂

Everything is handmade, one-of-a-kind, and made with a lot of creativity (and probably a little stubbornness).
