Yes for the devotee collector who enjoys having all the content ready to go we’ve got a copy of Pokemon Sword + Expansion in which includes the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra DLC on
cartridge! What a craaaaazy idea eh? It can actually be played without even connecting online, but there is a 3.2 update available for minor bug fixes.

We interrupt this Sonic the Hedgehog post to let ya’s know that tomorrow Sunday the 6th we will be closed. We’re just using the long weekend as a bit of a break opportunity and recharging, we’ll be back to our usual hours of operation on Wednesday and go from there :)

With that out of the way the store is infested with hedgehogs with this triple trouble post of Sonic titles. Shoot to thrill, play to kill! We’ve got a collection of first or third person and on rail shooters just in time for the weekend!

Enjoy some Star Wars Expanded Universe story before it was rebranded to Legends with Dash Rendar in Star Wars Shadows of the Empire. We could go on about the many planet hopping
adventures you can go on in this game but lets face it the best part is absolutely using the tow cable to take down the gigantic AT-AT’s on Hoth.

Journey through time in Duke Nukem Zero Hour, one of Duke’s third person style games that will have you travelling through time to the American old west, olde Victoria London and Rosewell New Mexico. It’s loaded with babes, guns, alien slaying and one liners from the man himself.

Buy Doom 64 and go to hell! Yes we’ve got ID Software’s moody entry into the series on the N64. The music isn’t as heavy as the other games in the series, but it swaps it out for foreboding ambience that borders more on a horror game at times. You’re gonna have a blast rippin’ and tearin’ through hoards of demons across 32 levels in this one.

Last but not least we’ve got Star Fox 64! If you’ve played either the 3DS or now the Switch 2 S’Fox why not go back… well, not to where the series began but definitely a spot that Miyamoto
apparently can’t seem to move on from. Hard to blame him though cause this is one of the best damn games on the system. Tight controls, smooth gameplay, classic zingers and dialog from the whole cast. After a little bit of time behind the Arwing you’ll feel like a COCKY LITTLE FREAK!

And now for something completely different, coming all the way from across the pond we’ve got Blaze Entertainment’s Evercade Premium Pack!

Yes the Evercade! A delightful handheld console emulator console that plays cartridges loaded with a bunch of classic games by various developers through the years. This premium pack comes with 3 separate collections for Data East, Interplay and Atari, with 36 games including classics like Burger Time, Joe & Mac 2, Clay Fighter, Earthworm Jim, Centipede, Missile Command, Yars Revenge and more.

We also have the (not pictured, sold separately) Technos Collection 1 cart which includes some incredible classics like River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball and our favorite, Double Dragon II which much like NES’s we used to test the system, check all the buttons and put it through it’s paces :D

EDIT: Tears of the Kingdom has Sold.

We’ve got a duo of Switch games hitting the shelves and if you give a dang about the Zelda timeline at all you might love it cause it’s the earliest and latest points in the entirety of the lore!

Skyward Sword not only brings the series waaaaay way back long before any of the heroes or incredible adventures we know and love existed, but also introduces a few key plots and details
that will eventually go on to be staples in the series. Not only that but thanks to this HD release they actually added traditional button controls so you don’t have to swipe and waggle with your joy-cons like you had to do back during the Wii days… though motion controls are still included too.

From there we go all the way into the future of the Zelda timeline where all those heroes and adventures are now either tales from long ago or lost in time, it’s Tears of the Kingdom! This direct sequel hits the ground running with more adventures, create crazy vehicles or mechanical monstrosities with the Ultrahand ability (seriously, check out what people make with that online)
and of course the best new addition, hunky “back from the dead” Ganondorf revealed in the final trailer leading up to the games release :D

Do keep in mind Tears of the Kingdom does have a Switch 2 digital upgrade that you can purchase to get a locked 60fps, up to 4K when playing docked, faster load times and also Zelda
notes through the Switch phone app which includes some pretty cool new lore and history tidbits.

Ooooh let’s start the weekend off proper with some Switch titles!

We’ve got thee incredible Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, already jam packed with so many racers and tracks right off the hop but if you pick up the Booster Course Pass DLC you can unlock oh I
dunno… 48 more tracks! On top of that you also get 8 characters with the likes of Birdo, Kamek, Funky Kong and Pauline joining the cast.

Next we’ve got the Atari 50 the Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition. You know we like compilation games up in here and this might be one of the most ridiculous ones yet. This game comes with 148 titles, across many Atari consoles like the 2600, 5200, Lynx, Jaguar and Arcade. It’s got all the classics like Asteroids, Centipede, Pong, Berzerk, Air Raiders, Yars Revenge and obviously much much much more. If you want to lock down a piece of gaming history in one convenient cart, this would be the way to do it.

‘Ello, what’s all this then?

Just want to toss up a few cool “across the pond” new additions, we’ve got PAL/Euro region copies of Advance Wars Dark Conflict (Days of Ruin over here for us) and Pokemon HeartGold. Both have been stressfully checked out, tested and are ready to go.

But on a more serious note we did just have a really car accident happen outside the shop right at the corner of King and Macklin, locking traffic down to a single lane. So if you are planning on
coming down please keep that in mind as it’s a bit of a standstill right now. Don’t want to speak on behalf of any of the people involved, so just wishing them all the best too.

Is everybody ready? Do you all have your… 3D GLAAAASSES!?

We’ve got the fantastic 7th gen trio of Arkham games, normally we’d say trilogy but Origins is not actually a true part of the Arkham Trilogy and you’d need to move up to the PS4 and Xbox
One for Arkham Knight to complete it.

We’ve got the first game in the series with a little bonus, the Game of the Year version of Arkham Asylum does include classic Trioviz anaglyph style 3D glasses so you can experience one of the best super hero games from a whole new point of view :D

Next we’ve got the standard Arkham City which carried on the quality of the series, brought in a bunch of new villains that were missing from the original game and opened the game up to
more of an open world style gameplay hence the “City”. A top notch follow up to Asylum, and you could make the experience even better with that fancy new Arkham City strategy guide we
posted a while ago ;)

If it wasn’t for the 3D glasses we’d probably have given this the spotlight, it’s the black sheep of the family Arkham Origins! This one is actually made by WB Games Montreal and is a prequel to the whole series. You play as a younger, less experienced Batman who has to go up against some old familiar and new villains from his rogue’s gallery after Black Mask places a bounty on his head. While this one didn’t get as much love from the fans not being made by Rocksteady, it has now went on to have a bit of cult hit, underappreciated status amongst the collectors.
