We have some vintage cookbooks for you today that came to us from the estate of Julia Baird, who worked as a Historic Cook at Dundurn National Historic Site, and sadly passed away too young this past July. I’m sure many Hamiltonians will remember her from their visits to the basement kitchen at Dundurn and may have sampled her Dundurn Castle Shortbread, which, according to her blog, she made 10,000 times!

Unfortunately we will open limited hours again this week. Some personal commitments have come up that I need to attend to. I expect things will return to normal in the next week or two, please don’t think this will become a regular thing.
