I thought I would do a little intro post for my new followers (thanks Tod Maffin 🇨🇦 !)
I'm Malina, the coffee roasting Mom of two teenagers, 2 dogs, a cat and 16 chickens. Rideau Roastery has been in business for over 11 years. Although coffee roasting kind of fell into my lap accidentally when I needed flexibility with two small children at home, my background is in parks management and outdoor education. As such, sustainability and the connection to the world around me has always been a part of the business. From the logo with an osprey and a blue heron on it, to ethical bean sourcing, using local suppliers, upcycling packaging and partnering and supporting other incredible small businesses, charities and events.
I try to keep a personal connection with my customers where I can and working from home can honestly get a bit lonely; so I would love to hear a little bit about you. Tell me where you're from and a fun fact about yourself! Let's be friends ❤️
