This is the kind of comic that feels TOO ridiculous not to become a cult hit.
NSFWest is a full-throttle parody comic packed with over-the-top action, naughty comic satire, GI Joe-inspired insanity, ridiculous characters, and nonstop chaotic energy. The solicitation literally promises “28 pages of hilarious action,” and honestly the vibe here feels completely unhinged in the best possible way.
And then there are the covers…
Some SERIOUSLY sexy variants for this one.
Whether you love naughty comics or hate them entirely, this book seems designed to roast everybody equally. Weird concept + killer covers + indie insanity = easiest Top Pick of the week.
2. 🧟♂️ MARK SPEARS MONSTERS #11
One of the highest-selling indie comics on the market keeps getting BIGGER.
This issue features the Council of Monsters gathering for the very first time while Dracula himself crashes the party. Add in multiple first appearances and this already feels like one of the key chapters in the entire series.
Mark Spears Monsters continues to have insane momentum and collectors have been chasing these books HARD. The JAWS movie poster homage covers are absolutely OFF THE HOOK and feel destined to become fan favorites.
At this point you really should not be missing ANY issues of this series.
3. 👹 DINGOLIATH #1 (ONE SHOT)
The beginning of an ALL-NEW horror universe starts here.
This oversized one-shot launches the “Manix Monsterverse” with a terrifying creature feature from Robert Venditti, Brockton McKinney, and superstar artist Manix Abrera. The setup alone sounds incredible — a monstrous nightmare unleashed against people who absolutely picked the wrong target.
But honestly? One of the coolest parts of this release is the variant featuring Francisco de Goya’s legendary painting “The Witches’ Sabbath.” That is SUCH a cool and unexpected art choice.
This feels like one of those weird horror books people are going to discover later and ask why nobody warned them sooner.
4. 💀 DEAD ACRE #1
Cullen Bunn + demon hunters + purgatory = yes please.
Based on the bestselling Black Badge novels, Dead Acre follows James Crowley, a dead gunslinger forced into service hunting demons in order to avoid eternal damnation. Not fully alive, not fully dead, and stuck working for the White Throne, he’s basically trapped in supernatural limbo trying to earn his way out.
The concept feels like Hellboy meets Ghost Rider meets a dark western horror epic.
Cullen Bunn rarely misses when it comes to horror books and this absolutely feels like something that could build a strong cult following fast.
5. 🐢 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #20 — 300TH ISSUE
Three hundred issues of TMNT insanity.
Forty-one years after the Turtles first exploded onto the comic scene, IDW celebrates with one of the biggest TMNT stories ever published. Clan Hamato faces a threat capable of destroying BOTH the worlds of the living and the dead.
This is a massive milestone issue packed with huge story implications, anniversary energy, and enough nostalgia to punch every turtle fan directly in the soul.
300 issues is no joke. Major collector piece.
