You are INVITED! Winter’s almost here, and Nelson’s mountain community is kicking it off together.

WHEN: November 14, 2026�WHAT: Well, quite a lot.�WHY: Because we’re all getting stoked about the winter, because we miss Judson, and because we want to raise money for a great cause while having fun doing it.�MORE INFO: KBG website (link in bio)

2-4 PM at Lakeside Park (Rotary shelter)
* Transceiver checks and trade-ins with ROAM shop
* BBQ (by donation)
* Companion rescue refresher course (limited spots)
* Transceiver scavenger hunt: win a new transceiver, a Whitewater Mountain Resort lift ticket or KBG merch
* Ski-legs workout with Dr. Dr. Taylor Cooksley, Chiropractor
* Coffee and treats, generously donated by Empire Coffee
* MountainMuskox and Nelson Search & Rescue will be there too.

5 PM till late at Uptown Sports Bar
* Silent auction with $10,000+ in prizes, including a 3-day cat skiing trip at Flowline Mountain and a ski touring trip at the legendary Valhalla Mountain Touring lodge
* Tribute to Judson Wright
* Expert panel: “How do we build a stronger and safer backcountry community?”
* $25 b**r + burger, and Uptown will donate $10/meal to State of the Snowpack and the Judson Wright Foundation (isn’t it crazy, thank you homies).
* Please, make a reservation at (250) 352-2715. We expect to reach capacity.

All proceeds will go towards State of the Snowpack that keeps us safe, and the Judson Wright Osprey Foundation.

Three days spent talking shoes, trail running, and getting a first look at what the Arc’teryx team has coming for us.

A couple weeks ago, one of our shop staff had the opportunity to join Arc'teryx for a footwear-focused gathering alongside a group of specialty run retailers. Based out of Island Lake Lodge, we spent three days eating world class food, nerding out on gear and of course hearning about upcoming footwear we’ll be carrying in seasons ahead.

We were able to get out on trails, put some footwear through its paces, go our hands on early prototypes, and had a good opportunity to share some really great feeback on the producst.

Three days of mountains, trails, great conversations and a whole lot of shoes.
