Maggie loaded up a kiln shelf with many hundreds of chopped up glass rod bits on end. When a good amount of heat was applied in a kiln, those sharp bits of rod became perfectly round glass Dots! We use so many in all sorts of warm glass applications and also have them out front in bins on the east wall for all y'all to pick from for your next fused glass, or mosaic, or even stained glass project!

Maggie a chargé une étagère de four avec plusieurs centaines de morceaux de tiges de verre hachées. Lorsqu’une bonne quantité de chaleur était appliquée dans un four, ces morceaux de tige pointus devenaient des points de verre parfaitement ronds ! Nous en utilisons tellement dans toutes sortes de verres chauds applications et disposez-les également devant dans les bacs sur le mur est pour que vous puissiez tous choisir pour votre prochain projet de verre fondu, de mosaïque ou même de vitrail !

It may be fall but but it feels like spring as the latest Oceanside Compatible Happy Hour 12-F, Peach Smash, just arrived up here in frosty Ottawa, Canada! It is a lovely combination of soft warm colours on a Pearl Opal CC Texture. Delicious!
And yes, Kevin is still wearing shorts.

C'est peut-être l'automne, mais on dirait le printemps puisque le dernier Oceanside Compatible Happy Hour 12-F, Peach Smash, vient d'arriver ici dans la ville glaciale d'Ottawa, au Canada ! C’est une belle combinaison de couleurs douces et chaudes sur une texture Pearl Opal CC. Délicieux!

Et oui, Kevin porte toujours un short.

Ryan continues work on the new triptych sample panel that will hopefully help show the range of detail and work that he can produce for future commissions. Stay tuned for the final reveal!

Kevin took a left at Chicago and ended up in Tuscon Arizona for an exclusive personal tour of Morton Glassworks by Jennifer Walkovich, CEO of Morton Glassworks. He was promptly put to work, packing Strongline, shrink wrapping Portable Glass Shops, counting parts and getting an early sneak peek at what's coming soon from Morton Industries. Jennifer is coming up to see us at Stained Glass Stuff in early November for three sessions that will be using the Morton Portable Glass Shop to its fullest abilities to cut out geometric shapes in glass. If you love straight lines in glass, you must join Jenn!

Kevin a pris à gauche à Chicago et s'est retrouvé à Tuscon en Arizona pour une visite personnelle exclusive de Morton Glassworks par Jennifer Walkovich, PDG de Morton. Il a été rapidement mis au travail, emballant Strongline, filmant sous film rétractable Portable Glass Shops, compter les pièces et avoir un aperçu de ce qui va bientôt arriver chez Morton Industries. Jennifer viendra nous voir à Stained Glass Stuff début novembre pour trois séances qui utiliseront le Morton Portable.

Fused Birch Trees are back! We grew another forest of birch Trees as quickly as we could, a couple full kiln loads of strips of Oceanside Compatible White, Crystal Opal, Cloudy Moonshine and 305S-F cut into varying widths with Black frit added. These can be used in any stained, mosaic or fused glass project.

Les bouleaux fusionnés sont de retour ! Nous avons fait pousser une autre forêt de bouleaux aussi rapidement que possible, quelques charges complètes de bandes de Oceanside Compatible White, Crystal Opal, Cloudy Moonshine et 305S-F coupées en différentes largeurs avec de la fritte noire ajoutée. Ceux-ci peuvent être utilisés dans n’importe quel projet de vitrail, de mosaïque ou de verre fondu.

Yet another Beginner Stained Glass Session wrapped up recently. Too much fun was had, discovered all the steps, tools, and materials involved in the process of creating beautiful stained glass panels. Let us hope that these happy people all continue on the path of becoming Stained, or leaded, or mosaic, or fused glass artists!

Une autre session de vitraux pour débutants s'est terminée récemment. On s'est trop amusé, on a découvert toutes les étapes, outils et matériaux impliqués dans le processus de création de magnifiques vitraux. Espérons que ces gens heureux
continuez sur le chemin pour devenir des artistes du vitrail, du plomb, de la mosaïque ou du verre fondu !

Maggie made up one of our Tree coloured bevel clusters into a fun panel! Bevels add such an interesting element to any stained glass piece, their thicker glass stands out, the beveled angles catch sunlight and refract it into rainbows, and this cluster, like many others we carry, is made with coloured float glass.

Maggie a transformé l'un de nos groupes de biseaux de couleur arbre en un panneau amusant ! Les biseaux ajoutent un élément très intéressant à n'importe quelle pièce de vitrail, leur verre plus épais se démarque, les angles biseautés captent la lumière du soleil et la réfractent en arcs-en-ciel, et
ce cluster, comme beaucoup d'autres que nous proposons, est fabriqué en verre flotté coloré.

Our Fused Tea-Light candleholders all got draped nicely! So colourful! Fun shaped and sized! You should definitely join us the next time this is offered;)

Ryan has been working on creating three different but similar panels of a Cardinal on a branch panels. The first is a basic, simple design. The second is more complex, and the third is high end, using all the fun tricks and techniques and materials and glass. This is to help clients understand the difference in how much detail can be added, and how that will affect the bottom line. Stay tuned for the final results!

Ryan a travaillé sur la création de trois panneaux différents mais similaires représentant un cardinal sur des panneaux de branche. La première est une conception basique et simple. Le second est plus complexe et le troisième est haut de gamme, utilisant toutes les astuces et techniques amusantes et
matériaux et verre. Il s’agit d’aider les clients à comprendre la différence dans la quantité de détails pouvant être ajoutés et comment cela affectera les résultats. Restez à l'écoute pour les résultats finaux !
