Than this drop in style Upcycle Jam is for you. Join other makers for an afternoon of sustainable fashion creation with the support of our skilled design team Cyd Eva & Costa from Pattern Nation and special guest Claire Upcycled. Claire will also be selling her iconic patches to customize your wardrobe with original art.
We will have a hand sewing/embroidery area, a textile painting area & a sewing machine bar with sergers.

📝✨ We’re back with another iteration of this delightful storytelling event!

Join us for “And Then What Happened”, a prose-focused open mic where the audience gets to give valuable feedback and insights to the performers. This unique event provides a supportive space for writers to share their work and refine their craft through constructive feedback.

What to Expect:

☁️Diverse Storytelling: Experience a variety of narratives, from personal anecdotes to fictional tales.

☁️Audience Participation: After each reading, audience members will have the opportunity to provide written notes and observations, offering perspectives on delivery, content, and impact. These notes will be gifted to performers at the end of the reading. Further feedback is welcome with the performer’s consent.

☁️Community Connection: Connect with fellow writers and storytelling enthusiasts in a collaborative environment.

Whether you’re an emerging writer, a seasoned storyteller, or simply someone who enjoys listening to captivating tales, “And Then What Happened” offers space for immersive stories and creativity. Join us and share your voice, or lend your ears, and be a part of fostering storytelling excellence!

Join us for the next ‘This is The Art’ open mic!

‘‘This Is The Art’ is an open mic night for anyone with something to express. From musicians sharing original songs to comedians, storytellers, poets, spoken word artists, rappers, improvisers, and more — this evening is a container for all who feel moved to shine their light. Anything from a well-rehearsed talent to a spur-of-the-moment impulse is welcome. Last month’s event featured an amazing assortment of human magic, and we had a full night of fun!

Bring your weird and wonderful art form. Come to perform, or simply to witness. All expressions are welcome. This is collective resonance. This is the art.

Hosted by ❤️‍🩹(Mend)(Brianna) (Bri), the night begins with sign-ups at 7:00 PM, and performances run from 7:30–11:00 PM. Stay from start to finish to experience this evening’s headlining performance — A stunning spectacle from the creative mind of TooMachNames.

✨Join us for the opening reception of “Not All Flowers Die in Winter” by leimposteratelier ✨

The paintings in Not All Flowers Die in Winter began with a decision to restrain myself from using black. Before this series, black carried much of the visual weight in my work. I wanted to discover what would happen if colour had to carry that weight instead. As black disappeared, colour replaced line. Boundaries softened, and forms began merging into one another. The paintings became less concerned with describing an image and more interested in what colour could do on its own.

My practice begins outside the studio. I photograph colour constantly, not to reproduce it, but to capture an intensity that stays with me, just as certain colours remain with me long after I’ve seen them. Flowers became part of this series because they return me to the experience of seeing. They return me to a sense of presence and aliveness that became inseparable from the process of painting. These paintings are not illustrations of flowers. They ask what happens when I trust light and colour, not only to the painting, but also to myself.

Join us at the next poetry open mic. Everyone is welcome! Whether it’s your first time on the mic or the hundredth, we want to hear your words. Want to just hang out and vibe? We’d love to see you there! Bring your friends. Bring your siblings. Bring your favourite people. Join us for this community-centred event. Let’s remember all the things that make us human. It’s tough out there but at least we have poetry.
