"The ZONE BLUE concept is partially anchored by the "Blue Film" music of the 70's like the classic Italian soundtracks of Emmanuelle. But the record constantly diverges into multiple genres, each track exploring a different 'what-if' fantasy in the most cherished era of boundary-pushing composers.
This is the official follow up to ZONE BLACK on Drag City & the first two singles are "Interloper II" (a sequel to one of the best tracks on Zone Black) and "Steve's Giallo". 'Interloper II' dials in the deep swagger of an Isley Brothers breakdown drifting out of a tinted benz, with late night, narcotic flutes by Steve Moore. While 'Steve's Giallo' dips into Moore's personal connection to having played in the great band Goblin, who's singular contribution to film music channeled true existential horror into some of the finest film music ever made.
Zone Blue will be used on European Television and overseen by the FOLD library in London alongside records on Warp and Mute Records. "
