These might be some of the densest VW ID Buzz doors around 🔇🎶
For this build, soundproofing wasn’t an optional extra, it was a major part of the transformation
From the factory, the ID. Buzz doors are thin, flimsy and prone to rattles - not ideal when you’re building a serious sound system around them
So the front door’s received a full 5-layer soundproofing treatment using:
🔸4x layers of Skinz 3mm sheets
🔸1x layer of Comfort Mat 18mm Tsunami waffle foam
The Skinz 3mm sheets help add mass and control vibration through the door skin and metalwork, whilst the Comfort Mat Tsunami waffle foam helps absorb unwanted noise and manage reflections inside the door cavity.
Together, they help turn a thin, rattly factory door into a much more solid and controlled speaker environment.
And that matters
Because the front doors are effectively the enclosure for the woofers.
If the door is moving, rattling or resonating, you lose clarity, impact and mid-bass performance.
By building the doors properly, the Audison Voce II woofers have a much stronger foundation to perform, giving the system better punch, more control and a cleaner overall sound.
This is the difference between simply fitting speakers, and building a system properly.
