It was a delight to see a remarkable selection of Amalgam Collection's models in such an illustrious setting, including the McLaren W1 and the 1970 Elf Team Tyrell 001 at 1:8 scale, set against a backdrop of some of the most extraordinary machines in the world.

It's a pleasure to hear that Lauren and Mark were able to connect with old and new faces from the Supercar Driver community, while hearing the unique stories behind their cars and what makes them so special. As the drivers prepare to take to the Circuit of the Americas for the 2026 Lone Star Le Mans, we invite you to look back at the 2024 winner of this race: the Ferrari 499 #83 Hypercar, meticulously recreated by Amalgam Collection at 1:8 scale.

On the 1st September 2024, the #83 Hypercar started second on the grid, with its #51 sister car taking pole position. Yet once the race had begun, Robert Kubica quickly inherited the lead, with the #51 retiring not long after. Kubica’s opening stints made way for Yifei Ye to defend strongly against the #7 Toyota, before Robert Shwartzman went behind the wheel for the closing stages of the race.

After six hours of racing in the Texas heat and a race-long battle with Toyota, Shwartzman would hold off an attack at the very end to secure victory by just 1.78 seconds, with the 50 Ferrari taking the podium a further 25 seconds back. The 83's hard-fought victory was the first by a privateer Ferrari at a major international sportscar race in over 50 years.

Limited to just 499 pieces, our remarkable 1:8 scale recreation of this victorious machine is available to purchase on our website. Link in bio.

Today, the 2nd September, marks the anniversary of the first recorded completion of the extraordinary BUGATTI Type 57SC Atlantic with Chassis No. 57374, also known as “The Lord Rothschild”.

Only four Type 57SCs were ever made, three of which were sold to customers. The first, chassis number 57374, was sold to British banker Victor Rothschild and finished in an elegant metallic grey-blue. Rothschild enjoyed the car until October 1941, when the supercharger eventually failed, causing the engine to explode and forcing him to abandon it in a field.

Yet the Atlantic’s story was far from over: it changed hands several times over the years, during which it repaired without the supercharger, painted dark red and then finally restored to its original specification. In 2003, it won the “Best of Show” award at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and was eventually sold in 2010 to a private collector for $30 million.

To celebrate one of the most revered automobiles every created, we invite you to explore our extraordinary models of “The Lord Rothschild”, and remarkable prints of the exceptional BUGATTI Type 57SC Atlantic, crafted by our artist-in-residence, Alan Thornton.

Models at 1:8 scale are available to order on our website. Development of our highly anticipated edition at 1:18 scale is nearly finished - register your interest to be the first to know when these models are available to order. Link in bio.

Each part of our remarkable Porsche Carrera GT at 1:8 scale represents a single stage in a 3,000-hour development journey. Beginning with CAD designs, material specifications, and archival photography supplied directly by Porsche, this information was transformed by our artisans into master patterns. These patterns were then used to create moulds which will enabled the production of small batches of thousands of precisely engineered parts.

These components offer the first glimpse of an outstanding model beginning to take shape. Once assembled, they will form the finished sculptural masterpiece of the Porsche Carrera GT, capturing an icon of the twentieth century in minature with unwavering skill, meticulous attention to detail, and absolute precision.

Introducing two new Platinum Leaf Fine Art Editions created in collaboration with BUGATTI.

Take a closer look at the extraordinary detail of our Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR "Uhlenhaut Coupe", perfectly replicated at 1:18 scale.

Measuring at just 23cm (9 inches) in length, this remarkable miniature was meticulously hand-built from many precisely engineered parts including castings, photo-etchings and CNC machined metal components, recreating the legendary machine as it was taken out for a high-speed test drive along the Munich-Eching autobahn in 1956, piloted by Rudolf Uhlenhaut.

Each remarkable detail from that historic day has been faithfully replicated by our talented team of artisans, utilising our own CAD data developed after scanning "The Blue" - the original car chassis 00007/55 on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum - as well as drawing on original drawings and archive photography supplied directly by the marque.

Our exceptional 1:18 scale model of this iconic car is now available to purchase on our website. Link in bio.
