NEW BRAND ALERT — BEAMS JAPAN

We’re incredibly excited and proud to welcome BEAMS to Unit 17.

Founded in Tokyo’s Harajuku district in 1976, BEAMS has built its identity around a distinctly Japanese take on American casualwear. Denim, workwear, military garments and Ivy League dressing all play a part in its story, alongside influences from sportswear, rock, surf and skate culture.

The main BEAMS label describes its approach as “Basic & Exciting” — taking familiar pieces and reworking them through considered details, fabrics and functionality.

You can see that approach throughout our first arrival. A classic striped shirt is updated with a zip front and practical side pockets, while cotton trousers feature a drawstring waist and adjustable hems.

Familiar, but not quite as you know it.

Born in Seoul in 2020, Kappy Design takes a considered approach to everyday clothing with its “3 LESS” philosophy — sizeless, genderless and timeless.

Relaxed silhouettes, adaptable details and pieces designed to be worn your way. The collection brings together wide-leg denim and fatigue trousers, plaid shirts, fleece layers, a reversible vest and a selection of accessories.

We’re excited to welcome Saucony to Unit 17.

With a running heritage dating back to 1898, Saucony brings over a century of performance footwear together with some seriously distinctive archive-inspired design.

For our first collection, we’ve picked out two standout lifestyle models:

ProGrid Omni 9 — technical, early-2000s running energy with plenty of character.

Shadow 5000 — a cleaner retro runner, originally introduced in 1989.

Two very different takes on Saucony’s running heritage, both made for everyday wear. Pair them with denim, relaxed trousers or contemporary workwear and you’re good to go.
