What a perfect evening to spend on a rooftop terrace!

Thanks to Fox & Ink Books (formerly UCLan Publishing) and Louise Corcoran for inviting Jon and I to the Summer Showcase at the University of Lancashire in Preston last night.

It was great to meet / catch up with authors including Corinne Bailey Rae, S R Krish, Kerri Cunningham, Curtis Jobling, Jacob Hope Liz Flanagan, Susan Brownrigg and Melanie Taylor.

Great to see a Northern publisher flourishing with great talent!

Having braved a 6pm tram into Manchester in 30+ degrees heat Jon and I had a fab time at the event this evening.

We ended our Independent Bookshop Week celebrations last week with a fascinating chat with Nicholas Royle about the secret life of second hand books.
