✅ DO:

✔ Rest – Avoid using the injured area to prevent further damage.

✔ Ice – Apply ice (wrapped in a cloth) for 15-20 minutes every few hours to reduce swelling.

✔ Compression – Use a bandage or wrap to support the injury.

✔ Elevation – Raise the injured area above heart level to minimize swelling.

❌ DON’T:

✖ Keep playing – this can worsen the injury.

✖ Apply heat – it can increase swelling in the first 48 hours.

✖ Wrap too tightly – it may cut off circulation.

✖ Ignore severe pain – seek medical attention for fractures or serious injuries.

✔ Cool the burn with cool running water for 10-20 minutes.

✔ Remove tight clothing or jewelry before swelling starts.

✔ Cover with a non-stick dressing or clean plastic wrap.

✔ Keep the person hydrated & monitor for shock.

✔ Seek medical help for severe burns (large, deep, or facial burns).

❌ DON’T:

✖ Use ice – it can worsen the burn.

✖ Pop blisters – this increases infection risk.

✖ Apply butter, creams, or oils – they trap heat.

✖ Touch the burn – avoid contamination.

✖ Ignore serious burns – always get medical attention.
