Mother’s Day has never felt simple to me. I lost my mom when I was 16, and there’s always a part of this day that holds that weight. But over the years, I’ve also experienced how love shows up in unexpected ways. I’ve been incredibly blessed to have someone I now call mom who has stepped in and loved me so well, and a mother-in-law who continues to care for me like her own.

And now, getting to be a mom to my three kids has added a whole new layer to what this day means to me. So today, we’re celebrating all of it. The moms we miss, the moms who raised us, and the ones who stepped in when we needed them most.
