A little backstory on the archive project…
Over a decade, Third Piece evolved from hand-knits made by a team of women in Boston into a knitwear brand and a retail experience centered around the idea of “Made by us or Made by you.”
There were finished pieces, knit kits, yarn, classes, and an inviting place for people to come together and knit.
But a few years ago, I shut it down in search of building something different that would work better for me.
I was no longer interested in the risk and investment that came with carrying inventory and a lease.
But, there’s still over 100 patterns from years of design work sitting useless on my Google Drive.
And honestly, letting them stay there feels like a crime.
So, I’m bringing a few of my forever Third Piece patterns back into the world, starting with a small summer edit:
